WELCOME TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD PACKET: I was blown away by the participation from the West End business community for the welcome packets. Thanks to all who contributed and who showed up last month to help stuff the packets.
I’ve had several inquiries from folks who missed the December 24th submission deadline. The packets have already been submitted to Jenn Goodson of Chinburg Properties. If you’d like to add something, please reach out to Jenn for details.
HELP WSCA! Bloomberg Radio is blasting their signal higher than is allowed by the FCC and they’re drowning out our local radio station. Please visit. WSCAFM.org today and send your complaint to the FCC to help protect the local radio.
DEEP WEST END BIKE SHARE: The only Zagster location in the West End is across the street from Kaffe Kilim. It would be nice to have a location deeper in the West End. The major issue is always money. It would cost about $9,000 per for an additional location. We’d like to gauge the interest in this group of sharing or sponsoring that cost. What do you think?
CATE STREET: Thirty-two townhouse condominiums are being built on Cate Street across from Ricci Lumber. Foundations should go in starting in April. The construction you see there now is environmental site work. The price point for the 2,100 sq. townhouses are around $650,000.
LEXIE’S GETTY: Lexie’s has received approval to move across the street to the old Getty’s station. My only hope is that they have roller servers to bring hamburgers to your car.
SOCIAL MEDIA CONTRIBUTIONS: If you have information or events you’d like to have posted on our Facebook and Instagram accounts, please be sure to send them to our social media coordinators. Devon Boyd of Elemental Energy runs the Facebook page and Krystyna Dudka of Red Post Realty has taken over our Instagram page. To clarify, they should not be send to me.
If you have community and non-profit events you’d like to share on the radio, don’t forget to contact WSCA!
Please join us at next month’s meet-up:
Tuesday, February 13th at 8 am at White Heron Tea.
