May 14th, 2019 Islington Corridor Improvement Project: The City has finalized the contract with Severino Construction to move forward with the Islington Corridor Improvement Project. The project scope for May 20th- December 15th, 2019 is Islington Street from Bartlett Street to Spinney Road. Expect to see signs of the project starting as early as next week. Once construction commences, there will be a one-way traffic pattern from Jewell Court to Aldrich Street during the day Monday through Friday. All inbound vehicles under 30′ will be required to divert at the intersection of Islington Street and Route 33. There will be a separate detour for tractor trailers to access local businesses for deliveries. There will be no detours nor restrictions after work hours and on the weekends. To get on the weekly project email blast or ask any questions, please feel free to contact Project Coordinator, Ryan Flynn at 603-766-1413 or email. Read the full project here. WESTIVAL: We haven’t had a ton of interest or leadership from the restaurants or breweries who vend at the event. It’s always been an awesome and fun event. The group is happy to support the event and the West End in general, but to put this event on we need more direction, interest, and participation from the major parties involved. Seacoast Pathways has moved to the West End! Visit them for an open house June 5th from 5-7 pm. For more information, visit them on the web. Mike Theil has space open at 767 Islington Street. Perfect move in space for a lawyer/office space. Papa Wheelies and Great Rhythm are hosting and event this Saturday at Noon with group community bike rides. Speed ride at 1 pm, slower, chill ride at 3 pm. Food trucks, drinks, rental bikes, and tacos available! Chinburg is sponsoring a Zagster station on Brewery Lane!
